On Thursday Trentin decided he was going to pop a bag of popcorn in the microwave, just as he has done many times before. Apparently this time he forgot which button was the popcorn button. Unfortunately, I didn't discover the mishap before the house was thick with the sickening smell and Trentin yelled "Mom it's all foggy in the kitchen!" Today I'm happy to say that after some good airing, candle lighting and wishful thinking the house is smelling much better. We are still however fighting the hoard of flies who took advantage of the situation..and the microwave has yet to recover.
Oh but it gets better! Once the smoke cleared I went outside to check on Blakely and friends, who were supposed to be innocently painting rocks, turning them into sweet, colorful little bugs. Yeah, I seemed to look past the fact that they are BOYS. The scene I came upon was that of full force, paint in spray bottle warfare. We found an old can of stucco paint in the garage, and as soon as the new strokes get a little dirty they should match the old...fingers crossed. Overall it was a great lesson learned for me and especially Blakely.
There was a special little someone who had an aerial view of these haphazard events. Trentin's stuffed puppy was stuck in the living room light fixture, waiting patiently to be rescued. What we didn't know, was that the light had been turned on, and upon retrieving him found his arm was melted clear down to the stuffing. Trentin was in tears as I went to work on an emergency amputation. I don't k

WOW! that sounds like you had a fun day! (not). Your such a patient mom!
HAHA. That is one of the best stories ever. Gotta love those boys! (Don't worry, its totally funny that the dog has a nub.)
I have to laugh at how kids turn into little monsters sometimes! Seriously they keep us on our toes! My boy is only two, but I'm scared for the potential disasters that I'm sure will happen!
