The Bright Side

Ok, it is obvious I am terrible at blogging, but we've got some exciting goings on that I have to blog about. After two miscarriages, three years of nothing what so ever, and a long list of fertility treatments, (that didn't work so we quit them) we are pregnant again. It seems like quite a miracle and we are grateful to have made it this far. I am however sad to say I have had a very heavy heart these past seven weeks, worried that inevitably something will go wrong, while living in some type of self preservation mode. From what I've heard, these feelings are common for those who have experienced the same things. I hope as time goes by I will be able to move forward, rely on my faith and let my heart heal. I also have to take into account I am miserably sick and home bound in my first trimester. It's hard to feel completely joyful when you need to have a barf bowl by your side at all times! I am also on additional hormones as a precaution to avoid a miscarriage. Ya they pretty much make me nutty - cant sleep, super sick and irrational a lot of the time. The good news is that everything is going just as it should. My family thinks the baby will be a girl. I have a feeling there is a girl waiting to come to our family so that would be perfect. If it is a girl I'm going to rush to the store and buy all the yummy smelling Strawberry Shortcake dolls I can find cuz I just WANT some! The boys are SO excited and we're prepping them early for changing diapers, and tease them that the baby will sleep in their room so they can get up with it in the night. Hee hee. So here's hoping for the best... only time will tell. :)

That is wonderful news to read today! I'm very excited for you guys. Yes, those feelings are normal with all the experiences you have had. We had a ton of the Strawberry Shortcake dolls and then the older girls got tired of them. I passed them on.... and then BAM, hello number 3 surprised us! She just got one for Christmas. They smell so good! I think I play with the doll more than she does!
