It really is quite amazing how far I've come. Obviously the first trimester went by without any serious problems. I will try to forget as much of it as possible. :) The fifth month was wonderful! Then during the sixth month I started getting tons of braxton-hicks contractions. After a couple of Dr appointments it was determined that they weren't having an effect on the cervix, so as long as I stayed on "modified bed rest" things should be fine. This was not an easy task, always trying to gauge when to lay down, or when to just keep doing what I needed to get done and keep my sanity. I sure worried a lot since they didn't subside, even now. I did start to feel better as I got further along, realizing that the baby could still be ok if I did go into labor. But just as it was in my first trimester, all my worries amounted to nothing.
So now it's crunch time! I'm excited, nervous, in disbelief, at peace and happy.. oh and did I mention nervous? Last night I woke up with some really hard contractions and thought, "Oh yeah... I forgot how much this hurts. Just kidding, I don't want to have her tonight. Please just let me go back to sleep." I may or may not have a little PTSD from my last birth, done natural (not by choice!). It's too late to back out now right? I've put all the sticks in my nest, the bags are packed and the hubby has his cell phone on at all times. We are good to go. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. It's still so hard to believe! I really made somebody!
Here are a couple of pictures. One is of me when I was born, the other is a 4d pic of Brecka (tentative name for now) at only 18 weeks. To me they look very similar. I emailed the ultrasound pictures to my parents in Chile and thy instantly recognized the turned up nose. I'm so excited to see her! Wish me luck!! (Oh and I was at a "loose two" a week ago. Eeek I'm so close!)

I am SO excited for you! You deserve a little girly to spoil. :) I love the name by the way, I have never heard it before. Good luck!
Yay! We were just there, and everytime I drove past the Hurricane Wal-mart I thought of turning in to see you, but as my children were off and on sick the entire time we were there I didn't want to risk getting you sick in your last month of pregnancy. So I hope you will forgive me for not stopping to see you. Can't wait to see the pictures when she gets here.
YESSSSS! Please keep us posted! Can't wait to meet her
I hope everything went well and that she's here and healthy! I need to find your number so I can give you a call and see how you are!
